Alister Spade: Supervillain, Deadman’s Hand, Gunslinger
Nicknames: Deadman’s Hand, The Hailstorm, and The Firing Squad.
Alister Spade is a lanky man with finely groomed facial hair, sleek hair that falls in a curtain to his shoulders, and trimmed bangs to keep his face clear. He wears a black brick-style cattleman hat, a neat black suit in the cut and fashion of movie gunslingers, a red bandana that covers his face, and a gun belt at his side housing a custom handcrafted Narratite Revolver with an ebony wood handle inscribed with the Deadman’s Hand in white gold and onyx stone. He wears black-and-white buckaroo-style boots with spurs. His right hand is pitch black with pulsing white veins that are visible until they meet his heart, and his right arm has necrotic scars.
The Deadman’s Hand has power over converging all possible theoretical chances caused by his right hand. He often relegates this to the firing of his revolver swinging it in wide arches as he fires creating dozens of spectral copies of his revolver at every possible chance he could have in theory fired with spectral bullets from each one at every possible angle it could have ended up taking causing him to send out walls of bullets capable of inflicting harm on all but the most durable Narratives with the gun and bullet’s Narratite enhancements. A one-man firing squad, the Deadman’s Hand can take expert shots, as he was once a famous gunslinger in Talis’Vrok until he was shot in the back of the head at the very moment the Nine broke Fate and afflicted the world with Narrative. Resurrected or torn from a time he survived, it seems a cascade of events is pulling him towards erasure as time erodes his body slowly over years, with James Soder his only hope in delaying and hopefully stopping the process before it’s too late. He serves as the head of Overwatch’s personal security and is seen as one of the most dangerous members of Overwatch’s team.
