The Zen.
‘Perfection Balanced, Mastery of Mind, Body, and Spirit.’
The Zen are an empire that stretches across time and space, each one fully clad in armor and shields, and sporting eight long, multi-jointed arms. They command endless legions, and each exists in a multitude of different times and places at any given time, making each individual Zen an army on their own. The Zen are driven to stop their eternal foes, the Quinn, from interfering in the events that all lead to the rise of the Zen.
The Zen Empire commands Kaldor heavily augmented mortals from timelines they’ve conquered serving as their servants, slaves, and expendable soldiers, Wargoths selectively bred psionic adepts biomechanically augmented into physical brutes who can wield their minds as deadly weapons to match their enhanced bodies, the Vaunt are entirely biomechanical creations formed to serve as a utility role in the Zen empire providing repairs to machines, fulfilling logistics, and providing support to other Zen servants. Gheist are mechanical servants powered by several psionically adept minds, making them powerful engines of war. In addition, they command various drones, walkers, mechs, and automated vehicles.
Power is divided between the three Zen Consoles, beings of such power that they have exceeded the old gods and even the Forces. Beneath them are the Unity, the eldest and most psionically capable of the Zen, who form a hivemind of power over their mass servants, the Ordos of the Confessors, Knights, Inquisitors, Seekers, Shapers, and Makers.
The Zen are perfect, commanding magic, psionic ability, unmatched augmentations, and genetic perfection. Able to bend time and space and twist reality around their fingers. Zen seem intent to guide Ithia down a specific path, which has led many to believe they are the ultimate endpoint of humanity.
