Dead Age – People of Renown: General Szuts Kende.

General Szuts Kende(Adel), The Marine, The Island Hopper, The Guardian of the Coasts.

Nicknames: Marine, The Warrior Queen, and The Honorary NCO.

General Szuts Kende commands the Astarte Marines. She is a competent, hands-on leader who leads from the front. She forgoes the crisp white naval uniforms of other Astarte officers for standard NCO fatigues. She is seen as an honorary NCO as she forgoes the pomp, incompetence, and ceremony much of the formal officer corps has devolved into. She regularly joins her forces in training and combat and has the most combat decorations of any other Astarte officer. She serves the navy as their armed ground forces but is technically not officially under First Admiral Kende’s command. She ensures the safety and security of ports, ships, and sea forts. She communicates little with other Naval High Command members except her husband, Kende. She is highly skilled in hand-to-hand and knife combat and is one of the best marksmen in the Astarte ranks. To further her abilities, she has trained with the Brothers of Silence and is technically an unofficial member of their martial ranks. She trusts Generalmajors Takacs Szabolcs and Pinter David, along with the legendary Sergeant Orban Balint, the face of the Marine Corps and a model for many drill sergeants across the Corps.

Szuts Kende is relatively short and avoids binds and grappling, which might allow larger, stronger opponents to overwhelm her. She’s built for speed, manipulating her opponents with skill and competency. She keeps her blonde hair short so it can’t be grabbed, and wears a selection of wigs at formal events. She has a mix of gymnasts and cross-country runners, built to be highly flexible, agile, and conditioned for long, extended activity. She wears a crisper standard naval uniform, avoiding the white admiral uniforms standard among Naval officers. She avoids wearing unneeded medals. She keeps things in the corps more informal than most of the divisions, but maintains standards when formality is required. Some say her relentless energy and refusal to ever give up is what won Admiral Kende’s heart.
