Factions of the Dead Age: The Nueruso.

The Factions of the Dead Age.

The Nueruso.

‘To serve the Prophet, to serve the way.’

The forces of Nueruso were formed by the Prophet Nueruso who was visited from the visage of an outsider; something had come from another land to speak of the way. Nueruso is a highly militant holy order like Ruththrall. They follow the word of the Prophet seeking to convert the world by sword, bullet, and blessed book. They primarily hold control over Kaidia and the Siltsea of Eastern Dophia. They can summon creatures of holy fire, sandstone, and wings of searing sunlight, but having been rebellious during much of the Astarte reign they have little infrastructure from heavy bombing campaigns and regular military action. They dream of rebuild the grandeur of the old Kaiden, in dedication to their new god, their great monuments and beautiful cities laid to waste.

The Nueruso have influence across Kaidia and Eastern Dophia.

The Nueruso are led by various religious leaders, wisemen given authority to interpret law and issue rulings, and old-world nobility making them a less cohesive force with various infighting sects. They have no singular former leader.

The Nueruso are not lacking in manpower developing laws to encourage large families but struggle with industrial power and weapon stockpiles with the Astarte having done everything they can to keep the Kaiden disarmed. With limited resources they salvage, scavenge, and buy weapons off the black-market. They can’t supply standardized equipment to their troops and must make do with homemade armor relying on civilian vehicles equipped with heavy anti-tank guns, anti-air weapons, machineguns, and artillery. Since the Silt have joined them, they have been able to develop some industry dedicated to producing munitions, armored vehicles, and planes. Their ports are too exposed to produce formal warships outside of the Siltlands limiting their power projection across the seas.
