Writing Worlds with Words

Conceptual Beings: Demons of Gluttony.

Demons of the Circle of Gluttony serve Luroki the Insatiable. The plane is a great expanse of twisting swamps with acid pools and rivers; tall trees grow where fleshy masses grow from great black and red leafed trees. Sections have been shored up and filled with chaos sand to level out land for plantations to flood the city of gluttony with food for endless feasts. Steep black cliffs, surrounding the swamp, run with thick treacle falls that form pools like tar pits. Stony mountains are home to twisting thorned bushes heavy with bloody berries.

Empty Demons: These emaciated demons shamble forward in tattered clothes. A ratty hood coats their faces in shadows where long worms like tongues writhe with little pincer tipped maws. They carry rusty bowls and cups which they project into the minds of mortals’ golden gleams full of cool drinks and grand feasts instead of the decaying rot they present. They try to manipulate the hungers of their victims into feasting on rot and poison. Greater variants are larger wreathed in shadow with writhing worms shifting about the shadowy mass. More powerful in their ability to entice and control mortals into feasting in rot and decay.

Gluttony Demons: These feminine demons are tall, and a mixture of both fat and muscular with scarlet skin, long green hair, and thin horns that curl up and backwards. They have long, thin tails that end in a small fishhook of bone. They can swallow enemies whole trapping them, rapidly recover from consuming corpses, and sport considerable physical durability and strength. Greater variants are more durable, larger, and gain vicious retractable claws. They can control their body shape, allowing them to blend in with other red skinned demons better.

Devourer Demons: These large brutish quadrupedal demons have hulking fore limbs ending in flat paws like a hippo with larger more pronounced claws. Large skeletal wings jut from their back with a long whipped like tail with the end tipped in yard long spikes. It has short stubby horns, no eyes or ears, and dozens of long burning tentacles surrounding a large maw with a sharp beak. The Devourer demon is a terror of the Gluttony Circle its saliva is an anticoagulant and blood thinner causing their victims to bleed out without medical attention. They can regenerate rapidly from minor wounds, can temporarily adjust and adapt its hide to resist damage types for a few seconds, and radiates an aura of minor terror.

Bulk Demon: These feminine demons are all tight muscles, built for athletic strength, tall, red skinned, with long red and black streaked hair. They serve as muscle and enforcers of the Gluttony Circle relying on their strength, durability, and agility to overwhelm enemies. They can consume meat to increase their raw strength and size, meaning they can be quite massive though most can’t sustain this mass as their bodies quickly burn off the excess.

Famine Demon: These feminine demons have bright tomato red skin, short stout horns that are almost tear drop shaped, and long pointed ears. They have short wings too small to fly, short tails ending in two tiny points, and tend to be very skinny for a Gluttony demon. They can take deep breaths inhaling projectiles, potions, and magic taking damage for allies and stealing healing from enemies denying them their restorative powers. They are very durable and often roughly flutter close to the floor, having to regularly push off the ground with their legs or arms to stay airborne. While it’s difficult to switch after inhaling a large amount of air, they can expel it in a vengeful gale knocking back enemies, projectiles, and magic away.

Feast Demon: These demons have porcelain skin with golden nails, lips, and azure patterns like the decorations on finest china. They have long blue hair so deep in color its almost black. These demons are broken and segmented pieces floating in the vague shape of a woman.  Their eyes are always covered, and they carry an amphora and a bunch of golden grapes. They shamble forward projecting an empowering aura bolstering demons of the Glutton Circle. They can heal their fellow demons with drinks from their amphora and revive fallen demons with a single golden grape making them highly dangerous in large battles as they revive the demonic hordes.

Hedon Demon: These feminine demons have pale pink skin, large, curled horns that double back giving them the appearance of having a big black bow behind their head, golden hair, and generally well dressed. Almost always carrying a golden goblet the Hedon Demons serve as Luroki’s lieutenants. They can consume alcohol and food to recover from wounds, swallow enemies to temporarily remove them as threats, and command corrosive and incendiary magic. They can speak words of command instilling their will over Demons of the Gluttony Circle.

Demon of the Maw: These feminine demons are giant white skinned demons with boney ridges covering their curves. Golden bone gleams rising around their bodies with ruby red flesh spanning between them like a body suit as hard as diamond and as durable as tungsten. These demons are seen as the daughters of Luroki and are her personal guard and stand above the Hedon Demons in power. They can shape their mass and often build their domains of excess from their endless devouring shaping their fleshy domains into massive devouring worms, beasts, and puppets They are terrifying creatures capable of commanding magic from all of the Fury fonts making them bulwarks of physical and arcane might.
