Relics of the Dead Age.  

*Relics are objects that have absorbed personality, tragedy, raw emotion, and other extremes from mortal and divine life. They gain power from those who once held them and are a major source of power among those evading the Astarte forces. * 

Relic Name: The Copper Koi. 

Type: Misc. 

Origin Class: Idols of the Thralls. 

Appearance: A set of copper koi fish, twin copper koi fish, one coated in patina, captured in a sapphire pond eternally circling each other. Their eyes look to have been switched from their opposite, making them appear like a yin-yang symbol. The Symbol of Zok and Zora, demon Lord and Lady of Pain. It burns at the mere touch, but it is a lovely pain. 

Phenomenal Traits:  

The Duet of Pain: When channeling this relic, your body changes in unseen ways. You become more capable of enduring pain; your body becomes harder to damage but more sensitive to suffering. You feed off the pain of others in your body mending as you inflict harm.  

Flagellation: You can tear off pieces of your personality, warping who you are. Burying trauma, past wrongs, peeling away all you find disgusting and disgraceful like scouring the soul with steel wool.  

Penance and Pain: You hear the whispers of Zok and Zora; one whispers the sweetness of pain, the other that the suffering it inflicts is deserved. That you have earned this eternal punishment. The two preach the greatness of blessed pain, and the penance owed for your sins. You are vulnerable to the manipulations of the Thralls. Relinquishing this Relic is rather easy, but… it leaves you feeling numb, dirty; your skin will never be clean of all you’ve wrought. No matter how much you scrub and even flay, the dirt will always linger until you reunite with the Twins of Pain.
