Relics of the Dead Age.
*Relics are objects that have absorbed personality, tragedy, raw emotion, and other extremes from mortal and divine life. They gain power from those who once held them and are a major source of power among those evading the Astarte forces. *
Relic Name: The Shale Sheep.
Type: Misc.
Origin Class: Idols of the Thralls.
Appearance: A crude statue of a sheep made of shale. It looks as if it wasn’t carved but shaped by the rubbing of hundreds of thousands of hands over generations, wearing it down into the rough, primitive shape of a sheep. One swears the fleece feels soft as real wool when not directly focused on it. More sheep haunt the peripheral, watching with eyes like embers. The symbol of Roum, the lord of Blind Faith, radiates a low, constant power that numbs any questions or rebukes.
Phenomenal Traits:
One with the Flock: Those channeling this relic start to take on traits from those around them most. Their features start to change and shift to try and fit in with those you’re around the most. You gain ghosts of memories, skills, and traits from those you dwell with.
Closed Mind: Your mind resists all mental effects, except those from the Thralls, resisting charms, dominations, and illusions.
Unity: Roum speaks the sacred words of Roum, Zaal, and Decor. He gives sermons of sin, of blindly following the pack and the great Lady of Hell. To question is evil, to think a vice, to fight is pointless. He makes you vulnerable to the Thralls, and to relinquish this relic is to be excommunicated, isolated, banished from the flock, to be forever alone and devoid of the sacred truth. To fight the channeling of this relic is a great act of will.
