Outsiders of Ithia Expanded: The Agrith Fear and Want.

*The Celestials or Coelestis Exercitus, servants of the Gods are divided into Solnatus who serve the Seir’Ald, Orbisliberi who serve the Powers, and Astrumortus who serve the Fates.

The Solnatus of Vexia Katar are the Agrith. These creatures embody Lust and/or Fear.

-Lust Agrith appear as curvaceous beauties with skin as pale as snow, coal black hair, and lips like heart’s blood. Beneath their pretty painted nails, thin talon-like claws can be drawn with a razor edge; their lips hide small spines which they use to pierce skin and draw blood, will, and attention. Their canines can extend into full fangs from which to deal deeper wounds and inflict actual pain, as they lack the numbing qualities of their fell kiss. The greater Agrith of Lust grows wings, each side of them sporting three heart-shaped wings that overlap, taking on hypnotic and psychedelic colors and designs. The greater the power of the Lust Agrith, the more inhuman their proportions become.

-Fear Agrith appear as androgynous, pale creatures, so gaunt that every rib and vertebra is visible. Short limbs jut from their backs like unformed wings ending in sharp bone spurs. Their main humanoid arms are long, ending in hands with six-inch-long claws, not razor sharp, and meant to rip into flesh and sunder bone. They have lipless maws too full of long teeth like an anglerfish. They have tails that end in bladed prongs like an anchor. As a Fear Agrith ascends in power, its skin darkens save for its face; patterns of white remain, resembling screaming faces across its skin, and it grows to twice its normal size. They strangely maintain a morbid beauty like the intrigue of a grotesque such as a gargoyle.

Agrith are powerful Coelestis, and their divided forms are each imbued with power. Arch Coelestis Agrith are generally a mixture of both, leaning more heavily into one or the other while retaining the powers of both.

-Lust Agrith radiate want and lust, are resistant to mundane weapons and fire, and can shape their bodies to fit the perfect form of lustful beauty in whatever fantasy they dream of. They can mend the body, restore energy, and generate magical power through physical bliss, sharing gifted energy with their partners. They can drain inhibition with a kiss and, with more effort, pure willpower. They can lactate a sweet ambrosian wine of pure bliss.

-Fear Agrith radiate terror, fear, and anxiety, are resistant to mundane weapons and cold, and can take on characteristics of the phobias of those around them. They can passively change the pigment of their skin to blend in with surroundings, and the blades on their tails sweat a hallucinogenic toxin spreading hysteria, paranoia, and mania.

The Agrith are servants of Vexia Katar, serving her whims as handmaids, rewards for her mortal servants, protectors of her territory, and guards of her sacred places. She sends them to watch over brothels, medical establishments catering to women, and wherever women gather to seek safety.

-Lust Agrith can only channel their full lust power against a single target, are vulnerable to cold magic and extreme natural cold, and are repelled by silver mirrors as they cannot handle their own reflections in silver.

-Fear Agrith must take on the phobias of all around them when channeling their terror, which means their appearance can become comical if too many different phobias are present. The sound of laughter causes them pain, and Fear Agrith are terrified of children, as they dare not cross Zatolen’s wrath on those who harm the innocent. They are vulnerable to fire and extreme heat.

Agrith come in levels of power and status, with the greatest being Ladies in Velvet Shadow serving as the most powerful Arch-Coelestis.

-Lust Agrith ranks include Matron, Mistress, Handmaiden, and Maid.

-Fear Agrith ranks include Dark Desire, Watcher, Dweller, and Creature.

The Velvet Shadows: Arch-Coelestis of Fear and Lust.

-Lady Velvet: She is sleek velvet, fur-lined, corsets, and feathers that give her a sultry appearance. She has the look of a brothel matron, a lady with experience, beauty, and wisdom. She sits at Vexia’s right hand, serving as her personal advisor and head of her Coelestis. She has sun-kissed skin and looks almost entirely human. When angered, she swells in size, long-bladed limbs flood forth from her back, and her mouth splits, revealing endless rows of teeth.

-Lady Shadow: Black liquid latex stretches across her body, up her back and arms, and twists into studded whips. Her long arms end in painted claws, and her pretty lips peel back to reveal needle-thin teeth. She is threat, lust, and control. Give her your will, and she will take all the difficult choices of life into her own hands. She enjoys painting her skin in tattoos and piercings, giving her pale skin a collection of colors. Her tail ends in large paddle-like hearts with small needle-like hairs that spread a mixture of burning pain and pleasure.

-Lady Silk: All sheer silk, frilly lace, and bows cover Silk’s body. She is hauntingly beautiful, untouchable, the one you crave from afar but will never approach. She is that which is unattainable, so perfect you wouldn’t dare to sully her presence with your own. She wears bells and ribbons wherever she can put them and has a cute little heart-shaped tail that reflects the faces of those who look upon her like a picture in a locket. It can ensorcell those who look too deep into their images.

Matrons: Arch-Coelestis of Lust.

-Princess: A proper lady, reserved, formally dressed, and with a refined albeit historic taste. She wears big ball gowns, corsets, large, decorated hats, and veils. She is prim and proper, doing her best to find romance in traditional and socially acceptable ways. She loves new attire and accessories and is sometimes overwhelmed by melancholy.

-Mistress May I: Mistress May I is tall, wearing little to nothing; she leaves nothing to the imagination. Highly flexible in body and bed, she seeks bliss, but when she wishes to get mean, she sends forth long arms from her back with claws like bladed rakes to rend and tear. She has three tails ending in hearts with spikes like the heads of morning stars. Mistress May I expects proper manners, submission, and care when addressing her and stands as the main enforcer of Vexia’s will.

-The Sword: A beauty in very impractical armor that wouldn’t protect you at all in battle. The heroine, the girl next door with a magical flair. She focuses her seeking of bliss on the heroic and fantastical, seeking to entwine powerful mortals into protecting the assets of Vexia. She can form extra arms to wield a selection of weapons she’s collected and extends her limbs for sudden bursts of extra reach.

The Dark Desires: Arch-Coelestis of Fear.

-The Widower: Unnatural shadow clings to the ceilings and drips down, causing a dark haze where she exists. Long limbs reach down from the darkness, carrying her through the darkness… she taints all light with a red-tinted abyssal light as if it were cast through blood. She has four great spider legs that sprout from her back, carrying her high off the ground. Hourglasses mark her body; spiders skitter under her skin, and her mouth splits, revealing arachnid fangs. She has long, stretched wings of webs like an orb weaver. Sharp hairs cover her back like a tarantula, and eight eyes cover her humanoid head, allowing her to see everything around her.

-The Hooded: A thick fog clings to the ground, forming suggestions of faces twisted in agony, terror, and pain. It shifts and moves in the peripheral, looking like hands reaching out to seize you until you focus your attention on them, and they puff into vapor. She moves her legs, replaced with a serpent tail; snakes writhe from her back, splitting into multiple heads where one was severed. Her face is elongated, with a flattened nose; rows of fangs from different snakes line her mouth, giving her dozens of deadly sweet kisses to gift. A heart-shaped hood rises around her head like that of a cobra.

-The Nurse: Fog veils the area where she exists, hiding anything more than a few feet away from the viewer. She trots about in an outfit that balances practical with suggestive, playing more with the imagination than reality. Her back is covered in long limbs ending in syringes with needles, each at least a foot long. She has a massive smile of neat teeth, her canines replaced with fangs that leak an opalescent liquid down the sides of her lips, leaving burning trenches down her face. She often carries an almost comically large syringe and is the most capable Fear Agrith at passing as a mortal at a distance, more so when she withdraws her back limbs into her body.

-The Whisper: A figure in all white nearly blended in with her pale skin. Her wings stretch out like tattered canvas covered in twisted smiling faces that chatter incessantly. The Whisper has long arms with claws like fishhooks, which she uses to ensnare her prey, trapping them as she gets comfortable telling them all about her eternity. She’s clingy, overly touchy, and can sense social awkwardness, fear, and anxiety, targeting those who find it hell. She only uses her long-clawed arms to trap those who try to escape her chats and is surprisingly friendly for an embodiment of terror, at least for those who don’t mind social interactions.
