Writing Worlds with Words

Heroes of Bastille: Serihilda Soder, Nymph.

Serihilda Soder: Superhero, Nymph, Shapeshifter, Petri dish.

Nicknames: Nymph, The Pink Avenger, Captain Calamari, The Soder Daughter.

Serihilda Symphonic Soder is a slightly heavyset young woman, tall, with thick curves and a head of bright orange curly hair that explodes about her like a giant cloud of cotton candy. She has bright pink eyes, pale skin, and freckles splattered across her face… often with lines between them to make neat shapes. Serihilda is beautiful and radiates a certain fairy glamour that magnifies it. She maintains a selection of Narrative identities, with the primary one being Nymph, in a bright pink skintight morph suit and a simple black butterfly-shaped mask.  She also has the heavy black armor-clad Captain Calamari! Who delivers swift, brutal justice with a modulated voice that radiates heavy smoking habits and a fear of bats. She is generally seen with a strange, floating creature that is oddly adorable, with one big eye and tentacles, which she named Squiggles. Since it’s been debeaked, it can no longer devour your brain.  Serihilda’s secret identity is that of a daughter of a wealthy supervillain and tech god, a socialite, and an inheritor of her father’s business ventures. She serves on the Sable Sentries as her powers are technically a magical form of Narrative.

Serihilda primarily wields the power known as Essence Devouring. When she eats something from a once-living creature, she absorbs its essence, adding some minor traits to her standard body and gaining the ability to take its form and channel its powers. She can turn into most animals, dinosaurs, and quite a few mythical creatures and has gained a decent amount of physical attributes from a life of eating meat.  Serihilda can channel some traits onto her normal body in the short term, but this seems harder to maintain than full morphs. Serihilda gains Narrative powers while in the form of a creature that possesses them, and while she refuses to go that far, it is believed she could take the form of an actual Narrative human. Serihilda also wields the mighty power of her father’s money! Which is a mighty superpower indeed. Between her father’s money, tech, and some personal additions, Serihilda can kit out her sillier personas like Captain Calamari with rather substantial super tech gadgets to augment a suit that is not designed to morph with her. Serihilda is extremely intelligent, having compiled thousands of different creatures onto an already inherited brilliance, though she is very easily distracted and struggles with focus. Her bones are inhumanly dense, and she is strong, though not on par with Narrative brick houses.
