Karolina Volkov: Superhero, Nightwitch, Recon, and Infiltrator.  

Nicknames: Nightwitch, The Silence, and The Whisper. 

Karolina Volkov, the hero known as the Nightwitch, is a member of the League’s Wayfinder team, wearing a skintight black catsuit, knee-high flat boots, and stun gloves. She is equipped with a chest plate and bracers that can project energy shields for short durations, cause cameras to malfunction, and jam remote signals. Short, attractive, with a figure she might make you die for. She keeps a shaved head and a selection of wigs for various personas, has no fingerprints and leaves little to no trace.  

The Nightwitch is a Narrative with some of the most urban mythologies. A figure of terror and despair for criminal elements. She can absorb all forms of energy, allowing her to turn invisible, hide her heat signature, create no noise, and be almost invulnerable to almost all known weapons. She can bleed the absorbed energy at a set slow rate, and thus she primarily avoids combat when able, as storing too much energy is hazardous to her. Initial League testing projects that her abilities might allow her to absorb the output of a nuclear bomb. The Nightwitch disables hostile infrastructure with explosives, eliminates leadership and command structures, and gathers intel. She is Paramor’s second in command of the active Wayfinder agents.  Unlike Shutdown, her powers cannot act on contained energy, such as that in a body or a battery.
