Nicknames: The Nine, The Avenger, Steelheart, The Grey, Fatebane, The One, Stoneface, and The Unbound.
The Nine, the most iconic hero of Bastille, clad in grey and white, a large cape draped over his shoulders; one milky-white eye seems to pierce to the very soul. Once the leader of the League of Light, but went solo when he felt Politics getting in the way of being a hero. The Nine is heavily scarred, foregoing a mask; he doesn’t maintain a private life. A nine has been carved into his chest.
The Nine wields the physical strength of a thousand former lives, fast, agile, and having experienced war, struggle, and strife since the birth of humanity. He does not quit, he does not waver, he is absolute and seeks out justice wherever he can. He is primarily tasked with fending off the muses of the local gods and the malice of the invading ones. He has multiple powers, including invulnerability, object invulnerability (he can make objects he touches as durable as himself), super strength, endurance, energy projection (primarily energy shields), and compounds his power every time he’s reborn. He has a selection of artifacts he’s gathered over his lifetime and has developed skills with most weapons. Villains do not choose to be active where the Nine is currently located.
