Factions of the Dead Age: The Astarte Party.

The Factions of the Dead Age.

The Astarte Party.

‘Every step forward.’

The Astarte party was the unification of the Axandrian National Unification Party and the Axandrian Divine Providence Party. A unification of the Social Militarists and Theocrats. Highly militant, they lead Axandria with complete control over the military, though in recent decades they’ve lost influence among the theocratic population. The Party in the modern day has lost its monopoly on force as seditionist forces rise across its territories.

The Astarte party maintains most of its power on the continent of Axandria itself, with rebel uprisings forming footholds across their empire and cells even in the capital city. The Felett Úr was killed in the first video-recorded speech. Now, the Astarte collapses into infighting with its various generals vying for power, alliances, and dominance.  They suppress non-humans, place remaining non-humans in camps, and regulate their populations as they are studied as hopes of developments of tech, such as the basic Psi amp created through the dissections of Black Elf brains.

The Astarte power is divided between the various leaders of military organizations and political seats of power including General Javor of the Artillery Corps, General Parazslik of the Psi-Corp, General Dolman of the Occult Corps, General Kanandy of the Science Corps, General Joost of the Research Corp, General Sipos of the Medical Corps, General Downy the Snuggly of the Dollidoo Corp, General Uveges of the Armor Corp, General Domonkos of the Mounted Corp, General Wolfgang of the Infantry Corp, General Nemes of the Honored Division, The Council of Five, Father Somogyi of the Brotherhood, Mother Levente of the Sisterhood, High Lord Hagen the Sunslayer, and The Royal Heirs.

The Astarte maintains martial law over most of its homeland; its waning influence forces it to rely more on civil law enforcement on other continents, and it focuses on holding ports, military installations, and major cities. They have access to flying battleships, tanks, assault rifles, war stimulants, along with prototype robots, energy weapons, occultic magic, and psionics. If not for their infighting, the Astarte Party might have had a chance to reestablish control, but with enemies on all sides and a vacuum of power, things edge towards ruin.
