North Ebon. Fortified City of Gallus. Martial seat of power in the Gallus lands.
Nicknamed the Scar, The City of Dogs, The City of Blades, The Shackle, The Legionnaire City.
North Ebon is a newer city, heavily fortified with a castle, two fortresses, and layers of defensive fortifications. A point of power projection, control, and Evari dominance over Gallus lands. North Ebon is home to the Evari Governor and the main occupation force. Its centralized location compared to Seamrogait allows it to reinforce various fortresses across the well-maintained Evari infrastructure. The city has a high population density, wide roads, narrow alleys, and large open spaces for drills. Primarily a place for Evari legions to live, it also has a large civilian population to support them. North Ebon is an inconvenient city to live in, but its nearly impenetrable walls rise in tiers, allowing deeper defenders to attack enemies who take forward walls, layered defensive gates, murder holes, and machicolated battlements.
North Ebon has no real wonders being built for power projection.
North Ebon is spiritually led by the Cults of Mealis, Ondra Seir, and Mara’Dia.
North Ebon has an average population of 120 thousand humans and 20 thousand other species.
North Ebon garrison 4 Evari Legions, 2 Divisions of Evari Guard, 1 Division of Alchemists, a Squad of Magi, and 120 City Guard.
The city is divided into districts, generally denoted by the layer of defense they’re on; each district has a Guardhouse. This includes Aditus(Exterior Ring; Lower Class Homes and Commerce), Scutum (Second Layer; Low Class, Craftsmen, and Temples), Hasta (Third Layer; Middle Class, Main Markets, Master craftsmen, and Guild houses), Gladius (Fourth Layer; Upper Class, Main Garrison Barracks, Drill Yards, and Alchemist Facility), Galea (Central District; Main Castle, Gallus Senate, and Governor Mansion.)
North Ebon is primarily built on rich brown soil, atop fertile farmland.
Entrance into deeper districts is highly scrutinized, but unlike most Evari cities, inhuman species movement is not overly regulated, being preferred to local Gallus.
