Aourel Hathwaye, like her brother Roe, was born in privilege and pursued greatness; she founded the College of Arts, honed her skills until she was as great, if not better than Casimiro, and trained with Roe in the arts of war. As the most influential and powerful woman in Ebon, she has the eyes of many suitors, the fear of villains, and respect of those who see competency as the greatest beauty of all. 

Aourel is tall, about as tall as her cousin Elliot Hythe, beautiful, touched with scars, physically strong, swift, and with the fierce aura of authority that, combined with her looks, often causes confusion and some mistake her for a goddess.
