Roe Hathwaye once pulled the Herald of the True Born from the Throne of Ebon, where its last King drove it into the stone upon his self-imposed exile. He denied the crown that it entailed and pledged his loyalty to his goddess Mealis and the Patrician of Ebon Duncan. He has stood against the tide of Marok and Wrightmarked to maintain the faith of man. He helped secure a new home for man and faced off against the Champion of Dreous Horthgud.  

Roe was a giant of a man, a head taller than even his cousin Elliot Hythe, who already towered over the masses. A man blessed with natural strength, honed, shaped, and perfected with purpose and hard work. A master of the great two-handed sword, The Herald of the True Born. A man of zeal, of tactical thinking, of strength, and skill.
