Relics of the Dead Age: The Spider Sigil.

Relics of the Dead Age.

*Relics are objects that have absorbed personality, tragedy, raw emotion, and other extremes from mortal and divine life. They gain power from those who once held them and are a major source of power among those evading the Astarte forces. *

Relic Name: The Spider Sigil.

Type: Misc.

Origin Class: Symbols of Dead Gods.

Appearance: An eight-armed cross, the symbol of Maliessence, the Goddess of Malice, once bound to a throat by a chain for each arm.

Phenomenal Traits:

Tongue of Spite: While channeling this relic, you can speak and be understood by Snakes and Spiders. You can press them to your bidding if they aren’t under another being’s magical command, or if the task isn’t beyond their simple minds.

Spiteful Steel: While channeling this relic, you can press it against a weapon; the chains and legs bind to it… the blade grows hot with spite, corrosive energy radiates pain and suffering, and shadow bends with every swing. The Spider Sigil binds to the weapon until midnight, when the day dies, and a new one is born.

Echoes: While channeling this relic, you hear the tormented screams of a goddess betrayed by her brothers. Bound in chains, darkness, and misery, the once nature goddess is isolated for trying to bring peace to her brothers’ playthings. You hear the rage of some wild thing fighting against her bindings, the beast so desperate for freedom it mutilates its own limbs to escape the trap. The cacophony of pain and strife sears the soul.
