General Kazimar Kanandy, The Researcher and The Xenoman.

Kanandy leads Astarte’s research division, studying alien and outsider technology and magic to increase Astarte’s strength and technology. He keeps pushing Astarte technology, working side by side with Cydren to implement and support mass production of new military products and technology. One of the least capable in the Astarte High Command, Kanandy maintains a close alliance with General Joost, who focuses on prototyping and producing what Kanandy theorizes is possible. He has no specialized or close subordinates, and most of his staff are not formally in the military. A student of the great Steiner brothers, Kanandy’s intelligence is one of the few minds General Parazslik respects.
Kanandy is slight, often wearing his officer uniform with a white coat over it. He often wears goggles and gloves, and seems obsessive about cleanliness. His hands are generally raw and scarred from aggressive cleaning, and he often wears a surgical mask when he knows he’ll be in the same room as another person. He is quite possibly the only member of High Command who has not killed another sapient being and avoids violence as he takes his medical vows to heart. He forbids his staff from conducting nonconsensual testing on intelligent beings but is often overruled by other members of High Command, whose monopoly on force leaves Kanady with little real power.
