There was once three Sisters in cycles gone by. The first was of Shadow born in the twilight hours of a dying world saved and preserved for the next cycle by a desperate mother. Second was of Light and created with the sacrifice of the First’s heart born at the birth of a new world. The Third was of change born at the pinnacle of a world’s crossroads from a heart passed down. Three sisters born of one ever beating heart. The Matron of Shadow saw the darkness in the world and tried to show people what lies beyond their fragile flickering candlelight. The wolves baying for blood, the silent stalking feline in the shadow, the monsters in masks of men. The Crone leads the Three, The Crone wields power not merely of this world but of past cycles and rivals the Gods ruling over the lands of Trinity having carried Trinity, Errok, and Basilia through the cycles. She protects a group of orphaned women and girls from across the cycles leading a paradise city of eternal women.
Nightmara is mature beauty, the matron, the reserved and commanding visage of a not a queen but an empress. She has watched the squabbles of Gods, Mortal Kings, and ever hungry outsiders. She has outlasted cycles and crushed every plot raised against her. She has the blackest hair that floods her back outlining her pale skin delicately touched by age. Rings, bangles, and piercings of Gold, Silver, Oakin, and extinct metals lost to past cycles decorate her body along with arcane tattoos, and a delicate crown of a thousand metals woven into wires spun as thin as hair into a symbol of power and eternal strength. The only being on Ithia she could have had to retreat from was Markov Hybori himself.
