The Ranks of Status and Prestige of the Fairy Courts.
The Dance: The Dance is absolute; it is rhythm, it is movement, it is the Fae. Even the High Queen bows before the Dance. The Dance makes Fae vulnerable to music, drawing them toward art and creativity; it drives them to dance and make merry. The Dance is a Force with no personification. The Dance does hold negative emotions; it is the racing heartbeat of the prey, the pulsing of blood, the predator’s urge to chase; it demands blood, it demands the Hunt.
The High Queen: The High Queen Magenta Viilnor is the most powerful Fairy and the mother of all things Fae. The Queens are pieces of her essence broken. She passively rules the Nature Court and the whole of the Faelands, allowing her subjects a great deal of autonomy, with the Queens unquestioned in their lands.
The King Consort: The King Consort, lord of the Oberous, First Consort of High Queen Viilnor. King Consort Rowan is the High Queen’s physical authority, serving as her enforcer. Master of the Hunts and Terror incarnate of the faelands
The Queens: The Queens, leaders of Outer Fae Courts including Noxarsia Nightfell, Nuvaalta Lostier, Alexandria Gildalit, Iris Oassi, Jaquline Gavelbee, and Astra’Blair Hippityhoppity Funnybunny. They are allowed to rule their court with only minor oversight from Viilnor.
Dancers: Dancers are powerful fairy lords from the Fairies who can influence and manipulate the Dance. They act like arch-mages or high priests with great deals of status.
Princesses: The Princesses are powerful leaders created to fill in niches outside of the Main Courts, such as the Harai, or high-ranking daughters made to serve a Queen. Princes are rare but exist, with the most notorious being the fairy god twin sons of Astra’Blair and Zatolen. Some Princesses, primarily Princess Samari Starmane of the Harai, are on equal standing, power-wise, as a Queen but lack the political power of ruling a full court.
Huntmaster: The Huntmasters serve the Queen of their court and King Rowan each lead one of the five Hunts; Though the Mad Hunt has two distinct Huntmasters. The Huntmasters are generally of the same power as Princesses and Princes, with less social and political status. The Huntmasters are Megroth, Pinky, Overit, Nightshade, Righteous Fury, and Peace of Slaughter.
Prince/Princess Consort: Generally Oberous Consorts of the Queens and Full Princes(ses). Some Queens create their own Consorts in addition to their official Oberous.
Lord Captain: Lord Captains lead a Queen’s personal honor guard. Generally, the most militarily competent or capable Fairy in court outside of the Queen and Princesses.
Duke: Dukes and Duchesses are powerful Fairy Lords wielding immense social and political power. They command a hundred thousand fairies and have holdings on their direct court branch. They have ten Counts under them.
Hunter Lieutenant: These elite hunters answer only to their Court Queen, their Huntmaster, or King Rowan himself. They are some of the deadliest Fairy Lords, sacrificing politics for serving the Hunts.
Marquess: Marques/Marchioness are powerful Fairy Lords wielding great social and political power. They command swathes of the endless lands beneath the great Fae tree.
Count: Count/Countess are powerful Fairy Lords wielding social and political power. They command ten thousand fairies. They have ten Viscounts under them.
Viscount: Viscount/Viscountess are powerful Fairy Lords who command a thousand fairies.
Baron: Barons/Baronesses are weaker Fairy Lords selected by a Count to manage districts of their territory.
Giants: Giants are elevated above other Fairies, often by physically and bodily moving others out of their way. Often physically overwhelming, wielding natural abilities, and serving as the personal guard of the Nature Court Palace, almost all Giants directly serve a Queen, but mostly the High Queen.
Harai: Harai are placed above the lesser nobility, and Harai placed into noble ranks are seen as above their equivalent. Due to the limited number of Harai, the population limit is removed, and they are given their status by Samrai Starmane.
Lord: General aristocratic Fairies who do not have the influence to become properly titled Lords.
Knight: Knights are lower castes elevated to pseudo-nobility for proving themselves. Knights can grow in status and rank up to a Court’s royal guard or even Viilnor’s own bodyguard.
Hunters: The Hunter Castes are venerated and hold decent prestige.
Specialty: Some Courts have venerated specialty castes, including the Omen Caste, Healer Caste, and Crafting Caste. The Castes have high social ceilings and can gain prestige through skill and power, matching Barons if they master their powers. The Mortalarua of the Chaos Court falls in this position as well as existing across all Chaos Court castes.
Warriors: The Warrior Caste is less venerated than the Hunter Caste but still holds social power. Many spend their time guarding territory or waging endless war beneath the Fairy Tree.
Commoners: The Commoner Caste is an endless horde providing all the small tasks in the Faelands and helping perform basic natural tasks in the mortal world. They are vital to reality but have no social or political power.
