The Sin-Claim.
The Motto.
‘Smile of Gold and Fist of Steel.’
The Clan.
Possibly the third formed clan with the ability to amass power as they gain wealth. The Sin-Claim are emotionless husks unable to feel anything unless taken from feeding. They make up much of the mercantile power of the Vampire lands. They wield monetary power, run the banks, and mint standardized coins for the Vampire kingdoms. Their power is closely monitored by the First Sons and Daughters of the Sun to ensure they don’t amass too much strength.
The Hunger.
The Sin-Claim feed on strong emotions; some have preferred taste for specific emotions becoming more eccentric in taste as the gain power. When feeding, they gain access to the emotions they consume and can temporarily gain personality quirks from extremely powerful emotions. Feeding is primarily done through skin contact.
The Power.
The Sin-Claim have a life-sense able to detect heart beats seeing blood through skin and lighter materials such as plaster. They are able to lift about one and a half times their body weight. They can regenerate rapidly increasing indefinitely with the gold, silver, and gemstones they have in contact with their bodies. To a Sin-Claim wealth is power, and some of their most powerful lords wear suits of golden piercings covering themselves in suits of rings that pierce every inch of their skin. A fully golden Sin-Claim is almost unkillable, able to recover faster than wounds can be made. They can weave magic to summon, bind, and control creatures from the Inner and even Outer Planes command creatures such as Faries, Concepts, Coelestis, Depthless, Flayed, and Dread Heralds.
The First Sons have heightened senses of sight, hearing, and smell. They are supernaturally strong, able to lift roughly six times their body weight without a struggle; they are not fazed by wounds that do not penetrate the heart or brain; they can recover from injuries several times faster than a mortal and have powerful spirits that are difficult to damage. They have natural affinities for Blood and Necromantic magic.
The Beast.
The Sin-Claim can take the form of a great golden bull; Influence, Command, and Control Bovine.
The Bane.
The Sin-Claim are doomed by an emptiness needing to feed on emotion to feel it. They often find it difficult to find motivation to do anything and merely surviving can be an act of will. They fear storms as the touch of rain burns their skin like acid, but they are mildly resistant to the light of Siger and other holy light. Lead burns their skin as if molten hot. Lastly, Sin-Claimed must accept all gifts offered to them from food to lovers. They are difficult to kill, and their regenerative jewelry must be removed before they can be killed by decapitation. It is best to bury them with rags, brass, and pyrite.
The Face.
The Sin-Claim lose skin-pigment, their hair brightens becoming more severe in color. Their eyes turn black with golden irises and silver pupils. They do not grow fangs and their fingernails and hair grow faster. Their builds become static things unchanging from the day they turned. They wear many piercings, rings, and fine clothes with elders often wearing piercings of rings or scales over their entire bodies.
The Disease.
The Sin-Claim sire new members by draining a mortal of all emotion. Feeding away until they’re as empty as they are before driving a golden into their Shan Zhon chi point. Sin-Claimed blood is fed into the dying body, giving it a new undead existence. Most Sin-Claimed remove this spike once they rise in power, seeing it as a symbol of weakness.
The Cure
The Sin-Claimed can technically be freed, but it is difficult and often requires someone from their mortal lives. Sin-Claimed who can be made to feel emotion on their own with only the deepest past connections able to reach them.
