James Soder: Supervillain, Overwatch, The Technomancer, Remote Control.
Nicknames: Overwatch, The Technogod, and The Master of Media.
James Soder, the part-time Villain Overwatch and full-time tech tycoon, runs Overwatch Industries. Stout with messy brown hair, a thick curly beard, and often dressed in baggy pants, a heavy coat, a polo shirt, and goggles. A gauntlet covers his right hand, decked out in unfathomable tech. Often seen less as a serious threat and more as an overly bored, smart, and rich kid who wished to live out his old comic book fantasies as an adult.
The Overwatch is not merely a genius on par with the likes of Mr. Fade and Prefect; he is –the- genius of the age, said to be on the level of the original Cyrus Steiner. He figured out how to use Narratite to enhance inorganic materials, laying the foundation for the theories of super tech. He has created satellite stations for high-end housing, developed cheaper, environmentally friendly, and effective materials for quick construction and passive, climate-controlled buildings, and designed, funded, and built the Space Elevator, which provides fuel-efficient travel between orbiting satellites and newly colonized moons. His Brilliance has allowed him to stabilize rifts between Ithia and Vilkas, terraform the moons of Saffron and Maroon, and help stabilize the Dodicerous state so he can visit the ancient lands of the Ashike Samurai. He possesses the Narrative ability to control and alter the basic physics of technology and any form of Media, pull things from any form of media and form a copy of it in reality, and channel copies of abilities and powers from any media, making him one of the most terrifyingly powerful Narratives. He can actively control electronics with his Power Gauntlet, though Prefect’s tech does not seem affected by it. He can touch any electronic or mechanical device and instantly learn about its parts and assembly, and has created devices to mimic this ability for counter terrorism and heroes to limit bomb casualties. He enjoys playing the villain and fighting against heroes as a hobby, though his power. He is willing to work on and produce supertech on request for those who can come up with a unique enough idea to interest him. He has produced a multitude of books on how to use magic, make supertech, and create robotic servants, many of which have been banned and are highly valued on the black market. He is absolutely terrified of the Nine as his power to disrupt magic counteracts almost all of Overwatch’s powers.
