Chemical Weapon – Crystal, Crystal Vein, Liquid Crystal, and Crystal Shard. 

Crystal is primarily a military-grade narcotic deployed to Astarte Shock Troop divisions. A mixture of pure Methamphetamine, uncut crystalized magic, distilled vampire blood, and a cocktail of more specialized stimulants.   

Military Issued Crystal is known as Liquid Crystal or Crystal Veins and is extremely potent. Injected directly into the veins, causing the veins to turn a bright neon blue and become bioluminescent. Those under the effect of Liquid Crystal have heightened aggression, repressed emotional availability and awareness, and a complete inability to feel pain. Astarte Shock Troops on Crystal have been known to fight past the point of bleeding out; their chests blown open, limbs blown off, and even gaping holes in their heads. Crystal seems capable of supplying cells with energy even when no blood is circulating through the body, and of keeping a corpse unaware of death for its duration. Shock Troops have been known to fight for days straight, their bodies starved, half mummified from dehydration, and running on nothing but Crystal. One of the few ways to truly kill one heavily dosed in Crystal Vein is a full decapitation. Full disconnection of the head seems to sever whatever magical connection keeps a body moving, even when the brain is leaking from the skull.

Studies have shown extreme abuse of Crystal causes necrosis in blood vessels, psychological degradation, and either audible hallucinations or maybe something more occult. Shock Troops after long periods of service must undergo physical and mental therapy and are often set in isolated communities for several years under observation for public safety.  

Street Crystal is a lesser product as the ingredients in Liquid Crystal are classified, difficult to acquire, and capital-heavy. Street Crystal is generally referred to as Crystal Shard or Shard and is a crystalized substance. Cooked down into a syrup and vaporized for inhalation or injection. Shard dampens pain and energizes cells, allowing them to hold their breath for extended periods, last without food or water, and function with minimal blood. As most street crystal lacks vampire blood and some synthetic stimulants, there have been no notes on those under its influence walking past actual death, but many function unbothered by injuries to their door.
