The 13^th Evari Legion. Banner of the Unicorns. The Capital Guard.  

The 13^th Evari Legion is marked by the twin Unicorns of Night and Day with their horns crossed. This Legion is exclusively manned by veteran Legionnaires. Members of other Legions at the end of their contract are offered the opportunity to join this elite Legion. Equipped in silver-plated armor, white cloth, and navy brass trim. Each member is equipped with a billhook, a thrusting sword, 3 javelins, and a shield. Each Century has two Magi, and each Cohort has a Wizard.  

The 13^th Evari Legion serves as the Capital Guard. They are used to break many traditions of Evari politics and are tasked with preventing the old tradition of Generals sacking Evangalis upon their return from war. They keep the peace during times of unrest, serve as the physical embodiment of power held by the emperor to dissuade his bodyguards, and also maintain the tradition of killing their lord and auctioning their seat of power off. They specialized in fighting formations in urban spaces, taking advantage of tight formations, flanking down alleys, and wearing down forces with expert line cycling.
