Seamrogait. Capital City of Gallus. Traditional seat of power in Gallus lands.
Nicknamed the Green City, The City of Clover, The Serpentbane, The Crumbling Crown, The City of Ruins, The City of Scars, and The Hearthold.
Seamrogait is an ancient city; old mossy stone stands proud, scorched and battered walls rise unbroken, and ancient spikes hold the tattered remnants of ancient Evari legion banners that failed to conquer the heart of the Gallus. Earthen streets are paved in clover between spaced-out stepping stones. Seamrogait is the traditional meeting place of the Clan leaders, and while a small city, it is heavily fortified and the symbol of eternal Gallus defiance. An ancient fortress of slyphstone sits at the highest point with its unbreakable walls gleaming in polished darkness. Only Gallus are allowed to enter its hallowed walls, and it is primarily the place of druids, clan leaders, warriors, and people of spirit, material, martial, or social standing.
Seamrogait is home to the Speaking Stones, The Black Fortress, The Long Hall, The Silent Grove, The Thirteen Maidens, The Seeing Tower, and The Black Forge.
Seamrogait is spiritually led by the Circle of Magenta and Rowan, along with the Cults of Malisara, The True Mother, Nuraweld, Eur Chara, and the Siblings.
Seamrogait averages a population of 80 thousand humans, though it could hold an estimated 200 thousand. Much of it is abandoned to preserve what remains of the ancient city.
Seamrogait garrisons twelve thousand Gallus warriors, several circles of druids, and generally at least one green dragon. The city has no civilian law enforcement, and order is maintained exclusively by military forces.
The city is divided into districts generally denoted by the age of construction. This includes the Hearthold(Fortress), Oldhome(Preserved Buildings), Cloverstreets(Ancient construction in use), The Circle (Temples, Druid Circle, Civic Services), The Nest (Commercial sector and dragon nests), The Shelf (Main Garrison), and Newtown (New Construction; housing).
Seamrogait is built on rich brown soil, though the southeast is gley soil as old, filled-in bogs start to reform due to neglect.
Seamrogait does not allow non-Gallus into the city. Only Gallus may enter, whether they are fully converted into the culture, born into it, or born of the blood.
