The Queenguard of the Danadane. 

These elite soldiers serve as the personal bodyguards of the Sorceress Queen of the Danadane. Clad in goldish trimmed black armor with bright red cloth. They have plate armor, decorative cloaks that can be easily detached for ease of fighting, and built-in bucklers on their off-hand gauntlet. The design of the helm and the large horsehair fans forming around the top of their helmets give their heads the appearance of a giant eye. Armed with a glaive or bow, one thrusting sword or long sword, and two daggers. Their sword is placed rather awkwardly over his groin; the blade exposed and against it, as a sign of dedication and threat to unwanted desires towards their lady. 

The Queenguard of the Danadane generally come from noble Dandane families, the purity of which leaves many with pointed ears from human elven marriage alliances. Well-trained in interior combat, few have the knowledge and ability to hold the palace of their sorcerous queen. They excel at fighting on stairs, taking advantage of corners, and limiting enemy movement while optimizing tight formations.  They are more bodyguards than actual soldiers, but are a terrific force if engaged.
