*The Celestials or Coelestis Exercitus, servants of the Gods are divided into Solnatus who serve the Seir’Ald, Orbisliberi who serve the Powers, and Astrumortus who serve the Fates.
The Solnatus of Siger’Alst are the Baal’Eldsun. These divine creatures were the first of the Coelestis and the first intelligent life created by the Gods. They are massive, musclebound, eyeless creatures with heads heavy with horns. They stride like walking siege towers across celestial battlefields, each their own fortress of might and magic. They have thick hides that are resistant to almost all blades and magic. Greater Baal’Eldsun gain wings of obsidian with their arch-coelestis sporting unique halo crowns.
The Baal’Eldsun are master pyromancers, weavers of healing flame, singers of creation, strategists, and bestial warriors. Their Arch-Coelestis commands the strength and power of lesser gods. They wield divine strength, immense durability, fire magic, and, in some cases, the ability to superheat air into plasma and lightning. They sing the deep, primal chorus that stabilizes Ithia against most outside invaders. Their songs can influence the plane, alter reality to a lesser degree than the gods, and channel their most devastating spells. Baal’Eldsun, when slain, are reborn in fire, making them one of the few Coelestis who cannot truly die so long as their God survives.
The Baal’Eldsun are servants of Siger’Alst and lead the Solnatus Host. They serve as generals, commanders, bodyguards of the Seir’Ald, and serve as elite shock troops and battle mages.
The Baal’Eldsun can only see things bound by magic or faith; all else is blind to their senses. Most Baal’Eldsun have never known pain, so many are vulnerable to it and have never learned how to deal with it.
The Baal’Eldsun were born to levels of power and status, including Eternals, High Lords, Phoenix Knight, and Ashborn.
The Eternals; Arch-Coelestis of the Baal’Eldsun
Baal’Sun Doi Dwar: Translating to the One of Fire who Shatters Mountains, he is the chief of the Eternals with skin of white, wings of glowing charcoal and obsidian, and a halo of quicksilver which revolves around his horns, taking the forms of mortal anguish.
Fi’Esh Sun: Translating to the Priest of Dark Fire, with skin of black, eyes of molten iron float around a halo of molten gold. He has wings formed of charcoalized peach trees. He keeps the Baal’Eldsun as a faithful blade honed and ready for the will of Siger’Alst.
Katar Sun: Translating to Moon Fire, she has skin of full moon, bright grey. A halo of diamonds drips down, forming a crown around her head, giving the appearance of ice that refroze mid-melt. She maintains astronomic icons and knowledge of Siger’Alst, including his private study and library.
Nal’Seir Sun. Translating to Lady Star Fire. She has skin as red as bleeding to white like heated metal. She wears a crown of wax whose wicks rise into flame, the smoke solidifying into a halo of woven spikes like iron black briar. Her wings are of stained glass, lead, and golden brass. She commands the First Legion of the Baal’Eldsun.
Syll’Ulu. Translating to Defender of Silence. With skin of ash and patchy smoke grey, he stands with a crown of burned bone. He has wings of ash that mimic those of some albino raven. His halo is of melted swords, axe heads, and crowns. He commands the Second Legion of the Baal’Eldsun.
Wu’Sun. Translating to the Fire of the Gods. He has skin of blue, with rings of various burning metal dusts. The most colorful of the Baal’Eldsun has wings of wicker and straw, forever burning in visages of sacrificial men and women. His crown is of floating blades of sickles, scythes, and other improvised weapons. He is the messenger of Siger’Alst and commands the Third Legion of the Baal’Eldsun.
