Samarind the God of Lost Causes appears as an ill omen before those whose Fate and Circumstance has placed on the path to death that still have a chance to change their fates. Those who see Samarind will soon face death whether the fall or rise is up to them and chance. The Son of Vutha and Talisman.
His Symbol is the Unbroken Heart – A heart surrounded by a golden ring embedded by four arrows.
Samarind when active on Ithia; is represented by the celestial body of Samalei a distant red planet. When visible Samalei bolsters empathic abilities.
Samarind doesn’t maintain his own plane.
Samarind maintains no divine artifacts.
Samarind is deathly pale, corpselike, gaunt, adorned in tattered clothes, damaged and scavenge armor covers his body and various weapons pierce his flesh, dozens of arrows and spears run through his torso causing him to trail blood wherever he goes. He has long white hair and pale pink eyes ever in-between life and death he travels between the mortal coil and domains of death forewarning those of coming doom.
Samarind is somber, highly reserved, and selfless. He is dedicated to fighting Fate and forewarning those cursed by it to die. He has become an ill omen, one of doom and death, though he only means to forewarn and prepare others against Fated deaths. Samarind grants what few followers he maintains the power to numb pain from themselves and others, delay death for the severely injured and sick, summon ghost lights, speak with the dead, grant protection from terror, grant resistance to negative aligned energy, and protection from spirits.
Samarind is worshipped by the highly empathic, selfless, and those screwed by fate. His flock are few in good times but the desperate reach out to him when no other God answers. He is the hope of the hopeless. Samarind symbols are seen as bad luck but some few keep small sculptures or shrines to the doomed god. He doesn’t accept sacrifices and merely wishes his followers to find their own path free of the manipulations of Gods and Fate.
