*The Celestials or Coelestis Exercitus, servants of the Gods, are divided into Solnatus, who serve the Seir’Ald, Orbisliberi, who serve the Powers, and Astrumortus, who serve the Fates. 

The Solnatus of Mara’Dia are the Valkyrie. The Valkyrie are tall, feminine, and powerfully built creatures with long wings of golden medals and feathers like blue ribbons. They wear elegant armor of gold covered in scars, dents, and damage from the endless wars they fight amongst themselves. They have eyes like ice and above their heads a third greater eye burns like fire. They fight with their signature long spears and great shields and are known for their winged helms.  

The Valkyrie are powerful warriors, swift and brutal flyers; they rule and dominate the skies of the heavens and stand as elite soldiers of the Coelestis armies. They can summon forth holy fire, see the deeds and merits of mortals, carry the souls of the victorious or heroic dead, and infuse any weapon with the purpose to slay so that no armor, no magic, no power can resist its bite save for the very armaments of the gods. 

The Valkyrie are purposed to carry the dead of victors and heroes of a battle, those who earned glory, to feast and celebration and a higher status in Viwrath. Those who earn their personal attention are carried past the judgment of Avernus.  They are also sometimes sent to aid in mortal battle if Mara’Dia ordains that victory shall be theirs.
