Outsiders of Ithia: The Seabreezes the Keepers of Tides.

*The Celestials or Coelestis Exercitus, servants of the Gods, are divided into Solnatus, who serve the Seir’Ald, Orbisliberi, who serve the Powers, and Astrumortus, who serve the Fates.

The Astrumortus of Zale is the Seabreeze. They are beautiful creatures with fishlike tails made of driftwood, seashells, seafoam, and kelp. They can split their tails open, revealing several long legs like a crustacean. The Seabreeze have hair the color of moonlit oceans, eyes with pink starfish-shaped pupils, and skin the color of coral. They sing for the rising and sinking of tides with movements of the great curtains of day and night.  They often forgo any form of clothing and have heart-shaped freckles over their sun-kissed bodies.

The Seabreezes are powerful caretakers of tide, wave, and storm; they can join together to summon forth great hurricanes. Their voices can raise or lower the tide; they can summon forth waves and have a secondary stomach they use to store water under great pressure, unleashing focused water hard enough to cut steel from their mouths. Their skin is covered in a strong oil, which keeps their mammal half from absorbing excess water.  They can breathe underwater, morph their lower halves into any beast that dwells in the ocean, and their song can reach such a decibel level that it causes physical pain to most sapient creatures.

The Seabreezes oversee the rising and falling of the tides. They take care of Zale’s domain of the ocean, and while some believe they have magical bows that bind hearts, this is unproven. They are known to help keep population levels stable and the bounty of the great ocean ever overflowing.

The Seabreezes form ranks of status and power, including Typhoon, Monsoons, Flood, and Tidepool.
