Gods of Ithia: King Rowan

Rex Venatorum Rowan. Chief Consort, King Consort, King of the Hunt, and Prince of Aggression.

Known as Rowan, Rex Venatorum, The Stalker of Prey, The Great White Stag, The Albino Pack, The Wolf and Hound, He who Follows, The Lord of the Oberous, and The Instinct.

Rex Venatorum Rowan is the first of the Oberous, personal guardian, consort, King consort of the Nature Court, and named King of the Hunt, ruling over all the Fae Hunts, Hunting Beasts, and Hunters across the Courts. He towers above most Fae, standing at least twelve feet tall, albino, entirely white from skin to hair, with blood red eyes and an unearthly glowing aura surrounding him. Blood often coats his mouth, painting vicious teeth a mix between some great terrifying primate and a wolf. His face elongated into a short snout, and he wore rusting iron plate armor nailed to his body. He is both unearthly beautiful and monstrous at the same time, a creature whose magic and body thrives on pain and is empowered by the burning suffering of Iron. He wears a rusting great helm, cleaved at an angle to show his head and accommodate his great, monstrous antlers, offering minimal protection to the back of his head. He cannot speak himself, but wind, swaying branches, and animals combine their twisted noise to form a voice for him which he speaks through, preferably predators.

Rowan is inhuman; he is the Hunts, the predator, the prey; he is instinct, survival; he is the chase, the mad beating heart, the edge of life and death; he is every chance moment when something could go terribly wrong. He is fierce, vicious, and in his own fairy way merciful. He gives his prey swift deaths when he catches them. No games, no torment, no monologues, or abuse. Outside of the Fae Queens and Princesses, he is seen as a boogeyman, a nightmare. He appears in Fae society to act as punishment incarnate for the High Queen, dragging away those who have betrayed or greatly upset Viilnor to her seat of power. It is said he is the only being able to permanently end fairies, though it is believed that Fairy Queens and Princesses are still above this.
