The Drain: Charlatans feed the Drain with power directly from the Fae plane of Tuguru.  

Tools of Trade: – 

Charlatans have no formal institutions, no divine blood or secret knowledge; they are con artists who have become good enough to sometimes trick even reality itself. They must keep their magic simple, as the chaotic nature of fae power will cause the magic to falter easily.  

The Charlatan relies on virtually endless power from the Tuguru.  They turn focus, will, and sleight of hand and turn it into magic. The conflicting magic of the Fae causes chaos, causing spells to fail, change, or turn against the Charlatan in the worst of cases. They have no need for Words of Power and thus move magic in free-form spells. Charlatans cannot channel their magic when any iron or steel is in contact with them. 

Charlatans work towards personal advancement, wealth, prestige, and control. Most Charlatans are selfish, greedy, and cunning, seeking survival and eventually thriving. 

Charlatans are not organized and live wherever they can. The lack of divine blood, raw power, and other means of easy prestige often leaves them on the streets.  

Charlatans have no ranks or organizations.
