*The Celestials or Coelestis Exercitus, servants of the Gods, are divided into Solnatus, who serve the Seir’Ald, Orbisliberi, who serve the Powers, and Astrumortus, who serve the Fates. 

The Orbisliberi of the True Mother are the Hand Maids, the personal care takers of the True Mother. Hand Maidens are humanoids made of wax, their hair long, burning tapers in red, yellow, orange, and blue. Their bodies are given shape with knitted padding over their straight, candle-like wax bodies. Their legs are knitting needles, and their hands are made of sewing needles, often putting on thimbles to cover their sharp fingertips. Their faces are nothing more than makeup, save for their noses, which are cute little sewn-on buttons. 

The Hand Maids are the personal servants of the True Mother, and at least one serves each of her daughters. They are tasked with helping keep the Goddesses looking their best. They serve as a last line of defense, a source of fashion, and a focus on cleanliness.  

Hand Maids are highly intelligent, master stewards, socially aware, able to maintain, track, and stay engaged in multiple conversations, keep homes, clean, dress, sew, cook, and while their mistress abhors violence, can unleash rains of magical needles that can tear through steel plates, dragonhide, and divine flesh like a cactus through butter. Handmaids are swift, brutal, and deadly when forced into conflict, puncturing arteries, blood vessels, and slashing tendons with the countless needles that make up their arms.  

The Hand Maids come in several levels of power and status, including Maid, Seamstress, and Servant.
