We left our home ravaged by nuclear fire, void of infrastructure, overrun by mutants; the earth turned against us, and thus we sought salvation in the stars. We had overthrown the Jack Boots of the Astarte, followed by the Iron Fist of the Markaris, who led us through blood and toil, settled the original thirteen colonies, and made their capital on Taurus.  

Over the thousands of years, iron rusted and the Markaris were broken, and thus the United Militants Party rose, replacing an iron fist with one of steel. With the fall of the United Militants Party, violence rose, and the new seat of power in the Core Pact Alliance united humanity against the alien, the rebel, and those who did not follow the party’s will. 

Corporations like Cydren and Gale quickly rose to power in the collapse of Markaris and the UMP; many other corporate interests followed in their wake. Absolute chaos is suppressed beneath the will of the CPA by careful, cunning, and ruthless leaders who have managed to keep the vast Alliance intact and functional. 

The CPA, vast and powerful, faces other space-faring empires standing beside its allies from the Terran Republic of New Vega, The Griel Collective, The United Vilkan Worlds, and the Merchant Federation of Artos against the endless hordes of the Khant Remnants, The Centian Empire, The Halder Theocratic State, The Merko Empire, Arkayian Technostate, and nightmares from the deepest reaches of space.
