The Spirit Walkers are loosely organized, often serving Maliessence, tribal shaman and warriors, and Vigint monks, and many stem from the Children of the Isles. The Spirit Walkers, natural arcanists who form bonds with nature spirits, channel their power, attributes, or assume their animalistic forms. They are considered shapeshifters and are often dangerous warriors in close quarters.
The Spirit Walker wanders the land forming pacts, contracts, and relationships with nature spirits. Spirit Walkers often trade their protection, aid, and care for the local area in exchange for the power to fend off hostile elements. They can channel emotional energy, driving themselves into inhuman rage, calm, or self-control. They are able to take bestial characteristics such as armoring their skin with thick hides, loose, hard-to-pierce skin, claws, fangs, horns, enhanced muscles, chitinous armor, stinging tails, gills, leaping legs, and more. They can take the full, half, or chimera forms of all the spirits they have contracts with. Spirit Walkers are one of the most terrifying close-quarter fighters, though their contracts often require them to be relatively restrictive in their traveling options. If they fail to uphold their end of the contract, they lose their gifted powers and will often find it far more difficult to make new ones.
The Spirit Walkers form small groups, serve as lone wolves, and are often trained by masters or spirits seeking champions. They have no formalized ranks.
