The Leader of the Ladies of Life.

Marian is creation, purity, power, wonder made divine flesh. She is the strength of humanity. She is the Strength of the Marok, the selfless sacrifice of the Wrightmark, and she is the eternal loving mother of all that is man. She weeps at the corruption and impurity in the world from the false children that are the Elves, the hedonistic Dwar, the lesser humans who flee her will; all are sworn foes to Marian.

Marian’s holy symbol is the Purging Eye, an open eye the pupil a sword, lashes of purging flame, at its base are the skulls of delving dwar, cowering elves, and false men all skewered upon the blessed blade.

When active on Ithia, A rare or even fantastical event, she is represented by the planet Merribell, a great white marble in the sky larger than either of the remaining moons. When active, it sits in the center of whichever piece of the greater plane one is on. While Merribell is in the sky, fertility rates are greatly magnified for plants, animals, and people. It seems to diminish pain and leave one with strange, warm comfort.

The True Mother’s divine plane is a small, humble manor house where she runs a boarding home and orphanage for lost souls. The mortal children, planar travelers, and anyone in desperate need might find themselves within her home.

The True Mother commands several divine artifacts, including the Decanter of Tears, the Veil of the Mother, and the Bonding Pins.

-The Decanter of Tears is a crystalline decanter filled with white wine. It can mend any wound, cure any disease, resurrect the dead whose souls have not yet been collected, and create life. It is believed this is one of the most powerful of the divine artifacts and is guarded by many Coelestis.

-The Veil of the Mother is a silk headdress soaked with the tears of the True Mother that seems to radiate positive energy to the wearer. One cannot be affected by adverse magical effects, slowly recover from wounds and fatigue, and protect from foreign influence.

-The Bonding Pins are a set of gold, silver, and bronze hairpins with various animals. There are ten of each metal, and those who wear one can feel, hear, and deeply understand anyone else where one. These have been lost to the mortal coil.

Marian has many artifacts, including the Veil of Orion, the Nails of Kain, the Stone Spear, the Shackles of Sturm, the Stake of Rhine, the Shroud of Kraus, the Book of Ludwig, Ludwig’s Amulet of Meribell, the Headdress of the Great Mother, and the Rod of Inquisition.

Marian views the Swan and Lily as sacred.

Marian is a matronly beauty. She has thick golden curls, the skin of eggshells, and eyes of silver and gold. Her face radiates love, care, and sorrow with tracks like molten wax where tears have run. She is tall, powerfully built, one who radiates authority, bound in armor of gold and silver; she is a crusader, a warrior of eternal faith. She wears vestments of pure white beneath her armor, and she does not mourn for what is lost but what can still be saved.

Marian is tragic, but powerful with a presence as weighty as a collapsed star. The first God, the mother of man, the one true divine, she is righteous fury, maternal love, and the hopes and fears of her mortal flock.

Marian grants her divine servants potent protective magic, healing spells, curse-breaking, the ability to stop internal bleeding, and magic to ease the pain, discomfort, and difficulty of pregnancy and childbirth. They can channel divine light and holy fire, which burns only inhuman flesh.  Her Clerics and Priests are specialized in creating potent remedies for ailments of pregnancy, maintaining healthy fetuses, ensuring the nutrition of mother and child, and greatly decreasing the mortality rates of childbirth.

Marian has several holidays such as The Mother’s Day a day of worship to the True Mother, Mother Days before and after Winter these two days uplift mothers current and potentially future. Fasting is performed before winter, and with spring, a great feast is held. Father’s Day is held when spring cedes to fall. It worships fathers and those who sacrifice this chance to fight for faith. Father’s Day has more physical events, such as archery, wrestling, and mock battles; it is a day of physical activity.

Marian is worshipped at the start of each day; a longer mass is held on Revensday. Gatherings are strict, full of speeches, sermons, and enforcement of scripture and dogma.

Marian has rites, including intricate ceremonies, for ensuring the safety and health of a child’s body and soul. There is the burning of incense over a newborn, placing holy water upon the brow, breast, and stomach to save the mind, soul, and body from damnation.

Marian accepts sacrifices of honey, mercury, wood from fairy trees, and precious metals.
