Writing Worlds with Words

Gods of Ithia Expanded: Weistra the Righteous Sword.

Weistra: Goddess of Militants, Repentance, Paladins, Holy Warriors, Pilgrims, and Inquisitors.

Known across the plane as Weistra, The Protector of Pilgrims, The Godless Slayer, The Penitent Warrior, The Righteous Sword, The Undefied, The Star of Vengeance, The Crusader of Fates, and The War Chanter.

Weistra is a member of the Fated Crowns, Gods of Light, Gods of Order, and Gods of War.

Holy Books: The Book of Crowns.

Weistra is the divine sword of the Gods. She is the holy warrior, the guardian of the temple, the defender of pilgrims; she is the marching feet of a great crusade, and the rallying of fanatics with righteous fury. She is the daughter of Mealis and Paladar.

Her Symbol is the Shield of Fates– A star-shaped shield with the Hand of Fate, symbol of the Fates, at its center. A Burning sword stands at the ready on either side.

Weistra’s celestial body is the Holy Bright, a bright star that lights the pathways to holy places, pilgrim paths, and the way those chosen heroes and followers of the Gods must tread.

Weistra’s divine plane is a grand citadel of towering marble walls, endless halls of polished white. Banners of every God hang from on high, and suits of armor from various holy orders stand in rows. Weistra sits at the highest tower in a raised chair at a table of war.

Weistra maintains the blade Starsear a handle wrought from platinum with a blade of blue starlight that flickers out in waves forming a thick blade.

She also maintains the Pilgrim’s Guard, a great towering shield that looks to be made of an army of plates in the shape of knights and armored warriors in combat. No physical attack can pass it, be it the massive blades of Siger’Alst or the lightspeed kicks of Carabella. No physical force can break or budge this shield.

Weistra is simple, streamlined, and deadly beauty like that of a sword. She radiates danger, laced with slim practical muscle, and long limbs that help give her reach. She has brilliant marble flesh that looks illuminated below, as if her heart were a star ready to burn from her chest. Her radiating eyes burn like sunspots, her hair molten bronze flowing down from her head and forming her armor of molten metal.

Weistra is the enforcer of the Fates, encompassing the Powers and Seir’ald grudgingly. She commands the mortal armies of the Gods against all pagan, godless, and outsider threats. She is stubborn, prideful, and unyieldingly pursuing her task with unstoppable zeal, stopping only when physically beaten into submission. She is energy, constant movement, and a need for release. Hell is stillness; it is the eye in her storm. Weistra grants her divine servants the power to mend minor wounds, create armor of holy light or dark, summon blessed fire, create auras of blinding light, living fire, or concealing dark, and empower oneself with righteous anger, holy wrath, and unwavering faith.

Weistra is the idol of the fanatic, the zealot, the paladin; she is the martial of mortal divine forces, and those who serve the Gods as holy warriors see her as the lieutenant of their chosen Gods. Few choose her as their primary God, but she receives plenty of worship. Holy warriors wear idols of her around their necks, command tents hold shrines to her glory, and temples mark her as a symbol of protection on their doors. She accepts sacrifices of rosemary, lilies, and roses.

Weistra’s Values.

Pillars (Virtues)- Dominance, Control, and War.

Columns (Vices)- Weakness, Chaos, and Heresy.

All holy orders technically fall under Weistra’s command. She maintains dozens of her own.
