The Gifters are generally elven mages. In their draining, they craft a wand or stave from a deep, hard-rooted plant in the underground lands. It’s shaped, polished, and laden with prayers. They feed it on their hunger, sorrow, pain, and fatigue, and will channel their magic through and with it. 

The Gifters can touch or hit someone who is stealing from them, triggering sensations of hunger, pain, fatigue, want, and thirst, and taking away these negative associated feelings. They can then unleash it onto others, making their foes suddenly feel the pain of childbirth, the starvation of dozens, the weighted fatigue of a week of a newborn’s parents. They are highly dangerous and can often disable their foes on a single strik,e and are a godsend for those with a great deal of pain in their future.  

 The Gift is natural, but the creation of their staves and wands is a taught skill. They maintain Master-Apprentice groupings.
