Cal’Breig: Goddess of Sacrifices and Divine Offerings.

Cal’Breig is the collector of divine tithes, she gathers sacrifices to the gods and deliver them unto their receiver. She leads the souls and essences of sacrifices one of the few Gods who can lead the souls of the dead.  She is the daughter of Ondra Seir and Bau’Nur. 

Her Symbol is The Offered – Three diamonds layered on top of each other at different angles. A golden halo touching each point with blood filling its bottom half.   

Cal’Breig is always active on Ithia and is represented by the Tithe, a great arch of golden light that appears over the southern ice wall.  

Cal’Breig’s divine plane is like an inverted pyramid with a great set of tiers descending into the ground where streams of blood, gold, tears, and whispered prayers flow down to a swirling pool where a floating platform holds her throne. Stone statues of holy martyrs line each tier along with stone caricatures of the Gods.  

Cal’Breig wields the Tithing Blade a stone sacrificial knife which will break any curse, any binding, freeing any soul in a vessel it cuts. 

Cal’Breig is a beauty, skin of gold, polished brass, and rings of mirrored silver. Bangles weigh down her arms covered in a rainbow of gemstones; gems stud her body keeping lacy sheer silks strung on gold wires provide some covering to her gleaming body. She has long hair with the color and texture of polished ebony wood and her eyes gleam like pearls with rings of ruby for irises. Her teeth and nails are carved jade often decorated.  

Cal’Breig is sociable, outgoing, and one of the more active gods taking each sacrifice with personal interest. She revels in the gleam, in sparkling things, and blood delivering it to her divine kin. Where Carabella delivers messages and commandments, Cal’Brieg collects what is due to the divine. She grants her divine servants protection from wounds, the ability to channel divine wisdom, and accept sacrifices on behalf of Cal’Brieg acting as extensions of her will. Those who attack the servants of Cal’Breig risk the wrath of all the heavens.  

Cal’Breig is a minor deity but an important one non the less. Almost anyone who worships a God that accepts sacrifices must to some degree give unto her worship. She is the collector of divine tribute and thus has the divine good will of most of the Gods and a place on most household shrines. Statues of her often appear in the temples of other gods and she appreciates being appreciated by the mortals though demands no sacrifices herself she will accept what the mortals may still have to spare once greater deities are appeased.
