Creatures of Ithia Expanded: The Requiem the Fae Scorpion.

An Advanced Creature Profile by Vincent Groth.

The Requiem are feminine Fae standing five feet tall with a too thin humanoid torso, a sharply angled head with hair the color of gemstones. They are marked by gemstones embedded into their foreheads in power ranking of one to nine stones. They have six bladed legs, smaller arms with pincers, and human arms with a venomous talon instead of a pinkie. They lastly have a long tail with a deadly stinger. They have more lipless maws with powerful jaws and too sharp teeth.

The Requiem are dangerous assassins for the Hymenordor. They are highly agile and sporting a large range of natural weapons from their vicious bite, venomous talons and stinger, crushing pincers, and bladed legs. They can climb vertical surfaces but require it to be a softer material or textured and can’t gain traction of smooth surfaces. Their stinger and talons deliver wicked venom which binds to a fairy’s essence causing them to wither and die repeatedly for days, months, and even years.

The Requiem serve as assassins, spies, handmaids and as hunters in the Honey Hunt. They are quiet and reserved, and a few take care of the Order Court’s grand library.

Like most Fae Requiem are eternal and if their mortal body is destroyed, they will reappear at their designated bed. They never age and remain appearing as fresh adults, or whatever age they choose to appear as. The Requiem are vulnerable on their humanoid torsos which lack the armor of their lower body. The Requiem struggle in colder environments and their lymph fluids freeze easily. They are also drawn by heat and can be distracted by nice warm places.
