Gods of Ithia Expanded: Aliander the Spice of Life.

Aliander: Goddess of Spices, Cooking, Chefs, Cooks, Luxuries, and Trade.  

Known across the plane as Aliander, The Spice of Life, The Master Chef, The Merchant God, The Burning Delight, The Weight and Measure, The Lady of Trade, and The Caravanner.  

Aliander is a member of the Fated Crowns. 

Holy Books: The Book of Crowns. 

Aliander is all the luxuries we crave, all that brings flavor and spice to life. The Daughter of Garon and Zale. 

Her Symbol is the Weight and Measure – A balanced scale with an hourglass on one side and coins on the other, various peppers, vanilla, and other seasonings are shown encircling it depending on the culture.   

Aliander when active on Ithia, is represented by the Burning Desire a constellation forming a chili pepper of burning red stars. 

Aliander sits upon a throne of gold, silk, and dried spices held upon a great galleon with sails that carry forth the skies of her domain. A massive fleet of trade ships are bound together filled with tributes and all that glimmers.  

Aliander maintains no artifacts. 

Aliander is a dark-skinned goddess with burning hair the color of various peppers, horns of molten chocolate drip the dark liquid gold onto her face forming a mask. Thin golden chains cover her bodies with coins to help keep her modesty. Richly colored silks form a skirt around her waist and cover her legs. She wears a cloak of tea and tobacco leaves and spotted with puffs of raw cotton. 

Aliander is all that is to desire, she is soft and resilient like silk, as delightful and complex as the creations of a master chocolatier, as fascinating as a new culture’s cuisine, and loves mixing cultures to make something new. Aliander grants her divine servants the power to preserve food, augment flavors, amplify the medicinal properties of herbs and spices, summon gales of wind, and make one’s passions, desires, and fascinations burn all the brighter.  

Aliander is worshipped by chefs, chocolatiers, merchants, and those otherwise skilled in obtaining, shaping, and creating luxuries. Sailors and caravans worship her. Aliander has small temples along trading routes and grander ones in larger trade cities. She accepts sacrifices of gold and silver, cash crops, spices, herbs, fresh meat, and salt. 

Aliander’s Values.   

Pillars (Virtues)- Flavor, Spice, Desire, Self. 

Columns (Vices)- Commonality, Boredom, Sacrifice, and Outsiders.  

Aliander maintains the Order of the Silken Sails who serve as a mercenary Corp of Marines who provide protection to merchants, primarily on sea, known for their leather necks and golden brushed armor.
