Fineth the God of competition and the embodiment of blood sport and races. Son of Mealis and Zatolen.
His Symbol is the Laurel Crown – A golden laurel leaf crown around a burning star a top the handle of a torch.
Fineth when active on Ithia, is represented by the Laurel’s of Victory a burning visage of a laurel leaf crown that sits like a halo above mount Zatolos.
Fineth sits upon a throne held aloft by two great statues of a charioteer and a gladiator observing a great field with a fighting pit in the middle surrounded by a charioteer track. Various playing fields for games and competitions sprawl before him from Dreite games of putting heads through hoops to Norgathi log tosses. Souls of the most dedicated athletes battle for eternity in eternal competitive bliss until they choose to move on to Viwrath.
Fineth commands no artifacts.
Fineth is beauty, the peak of masculinity, a man who makes his marble states look soft and weak. His rippling muscles covered in skin of bronze with hair a mixture of molten gold and writhing plasma flowing down his back as golden sunlight. His eyes sky blue and his smile inhumanly contagious along with his great thunderous laugh which seems to spread joy like legendary gladiators fighting to the death for the love of the crowd. Those who find themselves in his presence can’t resist feeling happy their problems fading from their minds in his wondrous presence.
Fineth is boastful, charismatic, charitable, and the perfect representation of an idolized athlete, artist, and hero. He is one of the most beloved of the Gods and is one of the few Gods universally praised. He brings forth the Games, the Bloodsports, the Feats of Wonder both in physical dominance and artistic delight. He is fascination, wonder, and excitement incarnate. He grants his divine followers the power to enhance their strength, durability, and endurance. They can hasten the movement of others, magnify jumping height and range, calm and heal horses and are the best at healing wear and tear on the body and can heal many lesser wounds. They can amplify the momentum and increase the theoretical mass of objects making their iconic discus lethal weapons.
Fineth is worshipped in every culture, by almost everyone, embodying the idea of Bread and Games. Being entertainment incarnate makes his temples built into structures like arenas, stadiums for chariot and horse racing, and courts of various sports. His idol appears in many household shrines of cultures less able to support more standardized sports requiring large capital investments. He accepts sacrifices of bloodied cloth from practices and sporting events, the blood of an enemy slain in a blood sport, the heads of defeated enemies used in games, bread, and the heart of a dedicated horse that died of natural causes to add to his herds.
