Lira: Goddess of Oasis and Familiars.
Known across the plane as Lira, The Living Sands, The Spirit Guide, The Desert Respite, The Beast Master, The Wild Heart, The Desert Huntress, and The Life Font.
Lira is a member of the Fated Crowns, The Ladies of Life, and The Gods of Magic.
Holy Books: The Book of Crowns.
Lira is the mother of the Oasis and other water sources in deserts and wastelands. She also is what binds man and beast together be it magically or mundane companionship. The Daughter of Zale and Dwar’Vic.
Her Symbol is Beastheart – A mask of a sandy panther in a water blue heart keeping at bay fire.
Lira when active on Ithia, is represented by the divine body of Rain Bringer a constellation of stars that resemble the head of a panther.
Lira lives in a mountain of sand and sandstone built up in layers where water flows from the top tier where her throne sits. The waters flow down spreading life below. Rooms of her palace orbit around her throne with paths of floating stones kept together by sheets of water.
Lira doesn’t maintain any divine relics.
Lira has the dark shin of a panther beautiful but strange. Her arms fade into sand normally taking on the visage of a lion’s paws. Her waist bleeds into a long serpentine tail of water and she wears a sandstone mask in the shape of a panther’s face. Her back has the wings of an ibis made of solar rays. Her mane of blood red hair halos her head like a starburst.
Lira is kind and compassionate bringing succor to the lost and weary, binding beast to mage, and taming the wastes to serve mortal and beasts. She embodies the life-giving wonders of the Oasis and the loyalty of the domesticated and tamed beasts. She grants her divine servants the power to create water, summon creatures, extend the lives of pets and animals, calm beasts, and create barriers that can regulate temperature, or block out airborne particles including gases, sand, and snow.
Lira is worshipped by the Kaiden, The Sphers, magic users, and anyone who dwells in harsh environments. Her temples are large and designed to be airy and cool even in the harshest of heat. She accepts sacrifices of meat, blood, and wine.
