Dirgminsk: God of the Drowned, Sunken, Rapids, Hurricanes, and Tsunamis.
Known across the plane as Dirgminsk, The Drowned, The Riptide, The Breaker of Hulls, The Coral Death, The Depthless One, The Abyssal Lord, The Drowning Dark, The Lord of the Murk, and the Wrath of the Waters.
Dirgminsk is the leader of the Drowning Gods and a member of the Fated Crown, Gods of the Sea, and the Gods of Malice.
Holy Books: The Book of Crowns.
Dirgminsk is the riptide, the crushing wave, the sinking down, the water and weight of the world that floods your lungs, he is despair, he is the death of hope. The son of Zale and Zatolen.
His Symbol is the Dying Light – A pale hand reaching forth from inky water grasping at a dying star.
Dirgminsk when active on Ithia, is represented not by petty star, nebula, or planet, when he is active the Leviathan glows like a second Siger from the deepest trenches of the seas. The waters glow black and lapis lazuli.
Dirgminsk’s divine plane is the grandest of palace, a place of grandeur, of excess, of plenty, every hedonistic dream sunken beneath the crushing and grinding waves. Gold eroded, stone smoothed away, wood and cloth rotted, bloated corpses drift down rivers of underwater brine rivers, and riches lay decaying and coated in barnacles. Dark eyes watch from cracking windows leaking water into the half-flooded palace where all the water flows towards a throne suspended upon the corpses of eldritch terrors who dared to try and claim the waters from Dirgminsk’s mother and her kin. A whirlpool runs beneath his throne draining water as fast as his home floods. It feels as if his home is meant as a statement that the waters do not care how much gold, or power, or divinity you have you live by his mercy and nothing more.
Dirgminsk maintains the Trident of the Drowning Depths a trident of patina coated bronze and tarnished silver, air moisture clings to it causing water to run down its sleek form. When stabbed into a victim it causes the water it forms to flood into the wound until it ruptures.
Dirgminsk is rarely visible, layered in dark soaked and tattered clothing from every era of sailors. A hempen hood covers his head as if hes facing the gallows. Light bends around him as if deflecting off a surface of water. The ground beneath his step becomes waterlogged. Those unfortunate enough to gaze upon Dirgminsk will see he is composed of murky, bloodied, and still waters with dozens of pale bloated faces just below the surface frozen in a final silent scream of desperation.
Dirgminsk is a faithful, dedicated, and loving son. He is the terror of the deep, defender of his mother from monsters like Haltheris and Tasmar, he is the end of all who dare disrespect his mother. He hordes the treasures of the surface world deep in the depths as tribute and is one of the most wrathful and spiteful Gods. The only hope one has when facing the God of the Drowned is that his mother will grant you the mercy Dirgminsk denies you. He grants what few divine servants, all of which must have survived drowning, the power to command water, dehydrate bodies, summon Drowning servants of Dirgminsk, and outsiders of the Depthless. They can turn into water and flow almost instantly through any body of water, they can tear the heat from bodies and twist their control of water into lethal ice projectiles.
Dirgminsk is worshipped by madmen, fools, and those terrified of the watery depths. He prefers people to give the praise to his mother and thus he dislikes being worshipped directly. Cults worship the deep God with totems and idols of his that wash up on shores around alters made of black trees that sprout where lightning strikes. He takes what sacrifices he will with sinking ships claiming their cargo and crews as tribute for him and his mother.
