Carabella is the official herald and messenger for the Gods. She also likes to fill in various other positions in each God’s court as needed. Carabella is required to announce the arrivals of each God as they descend to proclaim divine things to mortal people and delivering the divine mail. Carabella is the fastest God able to run with time to accelerate faster than dark. Carabella is the daughter of Vutha and Talisman.
Her Symbol is The Swift – A winged horseshoe with a scroll laced through it.
When active on Ithia, which is almost always, Carabella’s celestial body is a horseshoe shaped constellation of bright grey stars. When active and not on divine business a golden star appears cradled in the horseshoe called the Tear of Carabella which makes travel move relatively faster.
Carabella’s divine plane is a great sprawling post office with marble topped counters of ebony. Silver lace work serves as railings over balconies, some floating circles, grand chandeliers twinkle from the roof. Here all messengers can stop by in their dreams to enjoy a nice cup of coffee, a scone, and a place to warm up on cold nights which seems to carry over into the waking world.
Carabella maintains several artifacts including
-The Bag of Bella which is a messenger bag with near infinite space only those granted permission or those who placed the object inside it may retrieve it.
-The Fleet Bugle the divine bugle of Carabella which announces her arrival. When blown the blower finds themselves at the end of their travel moving through time and space and appearing at their destination after the set time it would have taken to travel there.
-The Cloppy Coconuts Carabella’s magical coconut halves which makes a magically reproduced sound of hooves so she can have accompanied sound as she gallops through the air.
Carabella is a snowflake appaloosa centaur with gossamer and silver wings on each hoof. Golden horseshoes gleam and her back is laden with saddle bags and various knickknacks for her travels. Her humanoid torso has dark tan skin, a light athletic build, long angled ears which show a great deal of her emotions and reactions. Her bugle and coconuts hang from her saddlebags, her messenger bag over one shoulder, and often a peaked cap with golden pidgin wings flared as decoration. She has a giant mane of chestnut hair with white splotches which turns snow white for the winter and sunflower yellow for the summer.
Carabella is a dedicated, loyal, overly happy, hyper, and easily distracted Goddess. She enjoys adding flare to her duties and gets extremely restless when unable to do her job. Carabella finds it hard to stand still and is loyal to a fault never betraying the confidence of her fellow Gods or anyone who happens to have a sugar cube or salt lick. While very kind Carabella is a very capable of kicking people excessively well. Carabella grants her divine followers the power of temporary flight, enhanced speed, enhanced dexterity, the ability to speak with horses, the power to send messages between servants of Carabella at rather long distances, access to the Dusty Trail where distance is compacted compared to the mortal coil, and the innate power to make fun sound effects.
Carabella has few truly dedicated worshippers but, has many general and passing worshippers. She is a god well loved by the mortals as an adorable helper of the Gods. Her temples tend to be places where messengers gather and often turn into pseudo post offices, trading posts, and message boards. Carabella accepts sacrifices of coconuts, used envelopes, stamps, and interesting landscape pictures. She also accepts sugar cubes, saltlick, funny noises, and hugs.
