An Advanced Creature Profile by Vincent Groth.
The Old Ones are gendered fae standing anywhere between fourteen and thirty feet tall. They have thick, soft brown fur, white fronts, heavy hooves, giant clawed hands, and crowned with massive sets of antlers. The Old Ones have humanoid faces with pale flesh outlined in fur.
The Old Ones are the strongest of the Giants, radiate an aura of primordial terror, make no noise when moving across natural terrain. The Old Ones flow through trees like water through a sieve making no noise, leaving no trace, not slowed by bough and branch. They have powerful senses of smell, taste, and hearing.
The Old Ones are said to have been old gods the Fae High Queen conquered, bound, and remade as part of her. They serve the Wild Hunt, Enforcers of the Nature Court, and protectors of the High Queen’s palace.
Like most Fae Old Ones are eternal and if their mortal body is destroyed, they will reappear at their designated bed. They never age and remain appearing as fresh adults, or whatever age they choose to appear as. The Old Ones unlike most Fae seem to be far more mature but have trouble controlling their anger and can be easily driven to uncontrolled rage.
