Creatures of Ithia Expanded: The Veilen the Fae Masks.

An Advanced Creature Profile by Vincent Groth.

The Veilen are gendered fae standing eight feet tall. Tall shadowy figures with muscular sillouettes, horns that jut straight up, long dramatic opera cloaks, high heeled boots, and masks that mark their position in the Veilen Orders. Veilen masks start smooth pieces of porcelain becoming more decorated until they reach a certain power where it turns to smooth crystal and repeats this process through bloodstone, tigers’ eye, ruby, sapphire, emerald, diamond, and finally Gold marking the masters of the Veilen order.

The Veilen are powerful wielders of the raw, wild, and untamed magic of the Fae Realm. They bend odds, warp luck, and twist the wild magic to their will and unleash it in devastating bursts of magic only predictable to the Veilen. Their shadowy bodies are resistant to most materials’ native to the Fae Realms. Veilen can levitate.

The Veilen are mages, court mages, and arch mages of the Chaos Court. They fill advisor roles and serve as antagonists to would be heroes. Veilen are a highly organized species bound to their position in the Order by their raw power.

Like most Fae Veilen are eternal and if their mortal body is destroyed, they will reappear at their designated bed. They never age and remain appearing as fresh adults, or whatever age they choose to appear as. Veilen are vulnerable to Order aligned magic and can be bound by laws, traditions, and rules of children games.
