An Advanced Creature Profile by Vincent Groth.
The Hermatai are masculine Fae with pale humanoid bodies resembling the marble statues of a graveyard. They have three wings, two from a vulture, two from a crow, and two from a fly. They have long thin wiry hair that covers their faces like greasy veils. Their feet bleed into talons.
The Hermatai are powerful casters summoning murders of shadowy crows, spreading forth swarms of termites, summon writhing pools of maggots, and turn into vultures. They command scavengers and have an affinity with fae beasts.
The Hermatai serve as War Leaders, Philosophers, Beastmaster, Lords of the Ruin Court, and Consorts to the Tolivus.
Like most Fae Hermetai are eternal and if their mortal body is destroyed, they will reappear at their designated bed. They never age and remain appearing as fresh adults, or whatever age they choose to appear as. The Hermatai are physically weak and are drawn towards places of decay. They are fascinated easily by rotting and decaying objects.
