An Advanced Creature Profile by Vincent Groth.
The Licter are masculine fae standing eight feet tall. Extremely lanky with their bones and long sinuous muscles visible under their tight skin. Their skin comes in midnight sky, tomb stone grey, and the brown of the mud of a battlefield. Their strides are long with their stilt-like legs, and their arms are long enough that their two-foot-long claws can drag on the floor. They have no mouths or body hair but large hollows for their small eyes like will-o-wisps.
The Licter are highly intelligent, strong, and durable. Their claws can tear through all but the purest of Iron. Their claws are the only known weapon that can cut through Slyphstone. Licters are resistant to Iron burn, and their essence is difficult to bind or damage. Licters are powerful Speakers of the Geasa, Binders of the Athru, Spinners of Glamour, and can channel Foirm of Death Court Fae whose blood they’ve fed on through the small pads on the palms of their hands.
The Licters while one of the more imposing physical specimens of Fae prefer to avoid violence when possible. Licter’s serve as Leaders of Death Court Armies, Scholars, Philosophers, Poets, Arcanists, Servants, and Consorts of the Aegrit. Licter’s are some of the most capable strategists, tacticians, and intellectuals in the Fae Courts.
Like most Fae Licter are eternal and if their mortal body is destroyed, they will reappear at their designated bed. They never age and remain appearing as fresh adults, or whatever age they choose to appear as. Licter’s abhor having to resort to brute force and avoid willing participation of violence and will turn to it as a last resort. While Licter can obtain magic through blood they can also be poisoned by spilling tainted blood onto the palms of their hands. While the Licter flesh is strong their long thin bones are fragile and thus while bladed weapons will struggle blunt force will break bone.
