The Materials and Weapons of the Fae.
Ferrum Hostis. Toil with Fire, Hammer Hammer, Silver for body, Blood for Iron, Bind in Copper and Quench in Dreams this shall make the mortals scream. Ferrum Hostis a strange fairy metal used to combat the horrors of Iron and Steel. Made from Silver and Blood, dipped in molten copper and quenched in the dreams of a dead god creates this deadly weapon that can stand against the evils of Iron. Lighter than Steel, As Flexible as Aluminum, and as durable as a Dream Ferrum Hostis crumbles when taken up by someone other than the first wielder to draw blood with it.
Cor Metalli. Gather the antler from shedding stag, gather the skin of the growing serpent, gather the shell of the hatching egg, gather the ruins of a forsaken steel, bind this bane in ice and fire, place it all into the fire stoked and tended for five cycles of the fairy bodies around the Great Fairy Tree, stoke the flame with hearts blood and add in all that has been gathered. This is how the Cor Metalli, the Heart of Metal, that which fairy armor is forged is made. This metal is as light as a bird feather, as flexible as a serpent, as durable as steel, and repairs itself stronger like the shedding and regrowing of antlers. Cor Metalli feeds off the wearer and mortals find their lives shortened severely if relying too heavily on this armor. Their hearts give out years, decades, before their time. The armor returns to its original state when a new wearer takes up its mantle.
Tenee Cutis. Smooth and Soft the Tenee Cutis better then finest silk and velvet caress. The material used by the Fae for much of their clothing feels virtually weightless, is as soft as clouds, and is in fact made from the unraveling of clouds and binding their vapor into finest thread. Stretched until it’s a molecule thick and twisted into thread.
Lux Dura. Captured sunlight, blood of a Queen, touch of the innocent, and heaviest of cream. Lux Dura is light made solid like glistening crystal, weightless and partially insubstantial allowing living things to force their way through it if they believe they can. Lux Dura is used for doorways and windows and limit access to mortals who manage to enter the Faelands. Some Fae use it for jewelry, chokers, and other accessories.
Aura Aenee. Capture the Wind, The Breath, The Thought, The Gossmer Web, Bind it in ice and bathe it in tears and thus you shape Aura Aenee. Clear as cleanest glass hard as compressed air and flowing like wind the Aura Aenee is used by the most cunning of the Fae to make weapons of war. To shape the very wind into cutting blades and bludgeoning buffets.
Elf Shot. Sleep, Sleep forever more, but this rest won’t leave you sore. Elf Shot, Elf Shot, the Rest for the Unwanted. A mixture of the venom of a Hymenordor and a Requiem to bind to the soul, sand from a sleeper to bind the eyes, the ashes from the dead to bind the body, a berry from nightshade to darken the mind, and the fluff from a dandelion to carry away the conscious mind. Elfshot puts those hit by it to sleep for extended periods of time with the most common being a century, some blends can last for five hundred to a thousand years. As it binds to the soul, the essence death will not save those hit by Elfshot from their fates they will reform or appear in the afterlife in continued sleep.
