Creatures of Ithia Expanded: The Roukreed.

An Advanced Creature Profile by Vincent Groth.

The Roukreed stand eight feet tall and almost six feet wide at the shoulders these grey skinned hulks stand as mobile bulwarks. They are formed from dwarves, can reproduce, and can’t survive outside of the Horde. They have large curling horns, long pointed ears, thicker foreheads with a boney ridge plate, and large sharpened teeth.

The Roukreed are one of the strongest of the Ork species, highly durable, and possessing an almost unending stamina. Roukreed can march for days straight, fight for hours, and sleep while slow marching. Roukreed maintain a layer of fat that seals their wounds on their torso and upper limbs. Roukreed born into the Horde are smaller and less durable than their changed parents.

The Roukreed serve as mobile bulwarks, elite shock troops, heavy infantry, and walking tanks able to bear massive shields and the heaviest of armor.

The Roukreed are slow their bodies not meant for speed but are not clumsy. They are too big over all to use standardized equipment. Roukreed are very aggressive and often fight other Ork species but tend to yield to the Urkreed, Ogres, and Cyclops. It’s possible to frenzy Roukreed into attacking friend and foe in formations with more than just Roukreed.
